Christopher “Chris” Flack is Vice President of Government Affairs for Duke Energy Florida, based inSt. Petersburg. In this role, he leads the company’s legislative and regulatory strategy in Florida, helping position Duke Energy on issues important to its customers, operations and long-term success. He also directs the company’s political strategy in the state and works closely with business, environmental, industry and community organizations on policy priorities.

A graduate of Florida State University, Chris joined Duke Energy’s predecessor, Progress Energy, in 2007 as Director of Government Affairs in Tallahassee. Before entering the energy industry, he served in Florida state government, including roles in the administration of Governor Jeb Bush and the Florida House of Representatives under Speaker Dan Webster. Under Governor Bush, he served as Legislative Affairs Director and Policy Coordinator for Environmental and Agriculture Policy, and earlier worked as an analyst with the House Environmental Protection Committee.
