Daniel Leon

Vice President of Government Relations, MasTec, Inc.

Daniel T. Leon is a government relations executive with over a decade of experience in legislative affairs, political strategy, and stakeholder engagement. He currently serves as Vice President of Government Relations at MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ), a Fortune 500 infrastructure company with a national presence and more than 35,000 employees. In this role, he leads the company’s legislative and policy efforts across local, state, and federal levels, advocating for initiatives that support MasTec’s strategic goals.

Before joining MasTec, Mr. Leon was the CEO and founder of Red Road Consulting, where he advised clients on political strategy, donor engagement, event management and helping them navigate political and legislative landscapes.

His public sector experience includes serving as Deputy Director of Legislative Planning for the Florida Department of Health, where he advised the Office of the Surgeon General and Governor’s staff on legislative and fiscal policy. He previously worked as a Legislative Aide in the Florida House of Representatives, managing district operations, drafting legislation, and building coalitions with stakeholders.

Mr. Leon began his career at the Florida International University Office of the Chief Financial Officer during his undergraduate studies at Florida International University (FIU), where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Mr. Leon resides in Miami, Florida, and actively supports his community through service on the FIU Casa Cuba Leadership Council, the WOW Center Young Professional’s Board.
